In 2006, I went to Atlanta and attended a 3-day spiritual retreat at the Atlanta Georgia Dome. I remember saying to my husband; let’s make the best of this trip and explore Atlanta. We did!
This photo taken at The Martin Luther King’s Center in Atlanta, Ga. As I toured the Center, I started experiencing overwhelming feeling of sadness, weeping and privilege. I felt, as if I were reliving the era of Dr. King. Each room I toured had powerful meaning, especially the speech “I have a Dream”.
These is one of Dr. King’s dream.
I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification; one day right there in Alabama, little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.
I can say; we are work in progress!
Praise the Lord.
