A passage from My Journey With My Father.
After the medical examiner took Blake there was no reason for staying at the hospital. Many thoughts are running rapidly in my mind. My husband and I came to visit Blake without the thought of planning a funeral.
We arrived at the Sheraton later in the evening. I’m tired, hungry, and struggling with the thought of calling my family to tell them about Blake.
I’ve never experienced this feeling of such. What’s weighing heavy on my mind is how does one tell their family about the unexpected?
The entire night I tossed and turned and could not sleep. The more I pray to the heavenly Father, the more I cried. I prayed in Jesus’ holy name for protection, strength, and wisdom in this time of need.
Tomorrow the arrangements for Blake’s homecoming will be completed.
Wait on the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait on the Lord.
